Mission Statement

The University of Theatre and Film Arts is committed to the spirit of our country's Fundamental Law and the original intentions of the Founding Fathers of the European Union along with its activities based on academic research, teaching and the freedom of studying. Together, as citizens of the University, we seek contemporary theatrical and cinematic expressions of this cultural ideal. We believe that in our colourful world, our existence becomes truly visible when we add our own colours and shades to the overall picture. We consider the artistic career to be a difficult but rewarding profession, and above all, a privileged gift that we wish to place at the service of the community that honours us with its attention.

The University of Theatre and Film Arts, Budapest proudly welcomes Erasmus+ incoming students who will be joining us for the Fall semester of 2023.

Students from diverse backgrounds, including Portugal, Germany, Italy, Romania, and Slovakia will enrich our university’s vibrant student life and contribute to its inclusive community. We believe that this incoming cohort will not only benefit academically but also create lasting memories and friendships during their time here.

We wish you a joyful Fall semester!
